I obviously didn’t think this experiment through

I think I totally overlooked how very annoying and repetitive and utterly senseless it would be for someone else to come across my personal list of “what to keep along on my journey towards a slightly more minimalist life”. Or is it “towards a slightly less burdened life”, because I don’t think I’ll ever hit “minimalism”.

And whereas I’ve sort of gone the “this is my blog, I get to do whatever I want with it”…I’m not sure going ultra “cheese sandwich blog as derided by elitists way back then” is the hill I want to be interred on.

For those who weren’t there for that bit of drama… there was a while when everyone had a food blog, which meant that there was a lot of what elitists thought was a pure waste of space, aka people listing the cheese sandwiches they had for lunch day in and day out.

Which is actually a prime example of assholes butting in where they weren’t needed, because if you don’t want to read about someone’s cheese sandwiches, then there’s an easy exit in the top right corner. And for the rest of us, who are sometimes interested in what other people are putting in their sandwiches… having that sneered at with essentially the same tone as someone says “you little women can just stay at home and put your feet up while we men do the real work”…

Well!

But I wonder how many people still remember that?

Anyway.

I was thinking once I hit 10 uses of an item in a month, then maybe it gets to stay. But I know myself and sometimes I go through periods of intensity and then nothing ever after.

Or maybe the solution is to add other stuff to the food logs?

Lunch: Fusilli with ricotta, spinach, cheddar, and cheddar sausages.
(Neoflam Flan 24 cm soup pot, Fissler 18 cm saucepan)

Made some vegetable soup with odds and ends.
(Neoflam Flan 24 cm soup pot)

Lunch tomorrow: fusilli, sausage, meatballs, ricotta, spinach, all layered under a blanket of mozzarella. I might have overdone things, because I filled the casserole almost half full and there’s only two of us to eat all that…
